Cornerstone Speech and Language Services is a private practice speech therapy company that was established in March 2022. We believe that strong communication skills lay the foundation for people to effectively socialize and function in everyday life. Our clinical practices are rooted in Christian principles, which assert that success and productivity begin with a solid foundation! (1 Corinthians 3:11). We are based in Birmingham, Alabama and provide services to clients in Maryland, as well!

Dr. Erica Roberson (Middleton) is nationally certified speech-language pathologist and college professor. She is a native Californian, who chose to pursue her undergraduate studies in Communication Sciences & Disorders (CSD) at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL.

Erica earned her masters degree and Ph.D. in CSD from Howard University. She relocated to Alabama in the Fall of 2021 to serve as a faculty member at the University of Montevallo. In addition to teaching speech-language pathology courses, she operates as a clinical mentor and a remote teletherapy service provider for patients with varying levels of communication abilities. Her research and clinical interests are centered around cultural and linguistic diversity among school-age populations. Erica has a passion for helping people become effective communicators and aims to use her knowledge in a meaningful way!
